.455 Webley Green Revolver made in 1900 which was the property of Air Chief Marshal Hugh Caswell Tremenheer Dowding 1st Baron Dowding was an officer in the Royal Air Force commanding RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain, he was credited with playing a crucial role in Britains defence against the invasion of the Luftwaffe
The gun is in excellent condition and comes complete with holster and original Webley oak box and documents supporting provenance
